Tonight’s Labour cock up at the Overview and Scrutiny Committee was Labour’s third unforced error of the week.

• Tuesday: Labour’s leader promised to spend £5.5 million on a car park in Southall
• Wednesday: Labour planning councillors went NIMBYtastic and turned down a popular proposal from the council’s own parks service
• Thursday: Labour scrutiny councillors voted against Ealing Arts Centre
